Please read below for more details about our training booking process and training terms and conditions.

Bookings and Payments
You can book a training course by emailing the Training and Consultancy Manager, Jim Glennon or by calling him on 020 7239 0421.
You will be invoiced for the training when the course has taken place, the invoice will be for the cost of the course and the Trainers expenses.

Cheques should be sent to: Training Team, Opening Doors London, Tavis House, 1-6 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9NA. Please include the invoice number.
We also accept BACS’ payments. You can find the details on your invoice.
Please note: full payment is required as soon as the invoice is issued.

Confirmation of Booking In-house Training
We will send you written confirmation via email within 5 working days of receiving your booking.

Fees
Please note that the fee payable may vary between training courses. For details of the fee payable for your course, check the price listed or for in-house training get in touch with the Training and Consultancy Manager, Jim Glennon who can advise on any group discounts that may be available to you. We do not charge VAT on training courses.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be received in writing.
If your organisation, for whatever reason, has to cancel or postpone a course, cancellation terms will be dependent on the notice given.

    • 20 working days’ notice or more given, no fee is payable
    • Between 19 and 10 working days’ notice given, 20% of the agreed fee is payable plus any trainer expenses already purchased
    • 9 working days or less notice given, including the day of the course, 100% of the agreed fee is payable plus any trainer expenses already purchased

Opening Doors London reserves the right to cancel training sessions due to trainer illness, extreme weather conditions, major public transport disruption or regional security alerts. We will always endeavor to reschedule a cancelled course within 2 months and for a time that suits the agency.

Data Protection
Information submitted to us will be stored and processed electronically for the purposes of delivering membership services, supplying information and to enable statistical analysis. Data may be passed to other parts of the organisation, our partners or contractors operating on our behalf to enable this to take place.

Tailored Courses
We are able to tailor courses to suit your needs, and would be happy to discuss any elements of the course you would like adapted in response to particular issues of importance to you t the present time. A full course tailoring service is available at an additional cost for extra training development hours which may include a meeting with key staff and trainers at your organisation.

In-house training courses can accommodate up 30 delegates. Exceptions to this can only be made if discussed before the course date and are solely at the discretion of Opening Doors London. This is likely to incur an additional charge, particularly if an extra facilitator is needed.

Additional Expenses
Quoted fees do not include the travel, subsistence and overnight costs (where necessary) incurred by the trainer to venues outside the Greater London area. You will be responsible for covering these costs in addition to the training course fee. However Opening Doors London can provide you with a cost estimate prior to booking so there are no surprises at the time of invoicing.

Your responsibilities
Venue: It is the receiving agency’s responsibility to provide a suitable venue for the training. Opening Doors London requires venue details and directions at least 14 working days prior to the course date.

AV requirement: It is the receiving agency’s responsibility to provide any audiovisual equipment required for the training. Trainers usually require flipchart and pens, projector and laptop. Please notify us if power-point presentations or video material must be emailed in advance.

Our responsibilities
Coordination and liaison: Opening Doors London will source suitably qualified LGBT* trainer s and facilitators for course(s), coordinate the setting of dates and ensure that the course meets the agreed training objectives.

Training Materials: Opening Doors London will provide all training packs for delegates and deliver to the venue in advance of training delivery.
